Email Monetization Reporting
RevContent offers more granular reporting for your newsletter traffic in order to help you better understand your performance and metrics.
To access reporting, login to your RevContent publisher account and navigate to the “Site Widgets” tab at the top.
The default report views offers an overview of data points such as Impressions, Clicks, CTR, Ad CPC, Ad RPM and Revenue (broken down by widget/newsletter).
For our email partners, we understand that these metrics alone don’t paint the full picture as there are additional obstacles in the email newsletter space such as Apple’s Mail Privacy Protection feature. Therefore, we’ve included more detailed reporting to allow you to understand the full scope of your newsletter’s performance.
To access this reporting, either click on the Widget Name or the Graph Icon of the widget you’d like to review. A new page will open up showing:
Requests
Total number of ad calls generated from email opens on this day
Unique Opens
Counts one open per user per newsletter deployment, within a 24-hour window (deduplicated)
Unfiltered Clicks
All clicks recorded before invalid traffic (IVT) filters are applied
Billable Clicks
Clicks that passed IVT checks and were billed
Apple RPM
Revenue per 1,000 opens specifically from Apple Mail, which may be inflated due to iOS 15 opens.
Non-Apple RPM
Revenue per 1,000 unique opens from non-Apple Mail users (a more reliable baseline)
Blended RPM
Average revenue per 1,000 unique opens across all clients
These additional metrics give you more accurate reporting of performance, a better understanding of how Apple’s privacy features affect revenue, and clearer visibility into billable vs. non-billable traffic.
