Gambling Policy Guidelines

The promotion of any gambling products must adhere to the policies listed below:

Campaign Requirements:

  1. The landing page must disclose responsible gambling messages.

  2. Landing pages must clearly and conspicuously disclose that the product being promoted is an advertisement.

  3. Pages cannot claim or imply that any information provided is coming from an independent third party.

Campaigns Can: 

  1. Advertise stories of earnings if the stories are factual, the winning amounts are not listed in headlines, and the page clearly and conspicuously discloses the actual odds of winning.

 State/Official/Premium Lottery Can:

  1. Use specific earning amounts in headlines and on landing pages if the page clearly and conspicuously discloses that the amount could be split between winners.

Campaigns Cannot:

  1. Target minors or show images of anyone who is under the legal age for gambling.

  2. Advertise any stories of earnings, even if factual, when the promotion is through an affiliate or third-party site.

  3. Promote the sale of US Powerball tickets outside the US.

  4. Claim any promises of “low risk” or “full proof” on the landing page.

  5. Claim or imply to solve financial worries or responsibilities.

  6. Claim or imply that gambling can be an alternative form of employment.

Thumbnails and Headlines Cannot:

  1. Use images of risqué or inappropriately dressed women.

  2. Headlines cannot make any kind of earning claims or use specific dollar amounts.

  3. Headlines and images must not use testimonials that are difficult to verify or were not stated by the person used in the ad copy image.

What happens if I violate this policy?

  • Ad denial: Ads that don't follow this policy may get denied. A denied ad won't be able to run until the policy violation is fixed and the ad is approved.
  • Domain Disabling / Suspension: We may suspend websites that violate this policy, meaning that the website can no longer be advertised with Revcontent until the problem is fixed.
  • Account Termination: An account may get terminated if you have several violations or a serious violation. If this happens, all ads in the terminated account will stop running, and we may no longer accept advertising from you. Any related accounts may also be terminated and your new accounts may get automatically suspended at setup.
