Intellectual Property Infringement

  • Copyright Violations:
Ads must not use copyrighted content, images, or other protected material without proper authorization. All creative assets must respect the rights of content owners and comply with applicable intellectual property laws.
  • Trademark & Service Mark Misuse:
A trademark is anything that is used, or intended to be used, to identify the goods of one manufacturer from the goods of others. A service mark is very similar to a trademark, except that it is used to distinguish services. Trademarks and service marks include words, names, symbols and logos. Anything that distinctly identifies a company, brand or product can be a trademark or service mark.

Unauthorized use of trademarks, service marks, logos, or brand names, whether to mislead, suggest affiliation, or imply endorsement, is strictly prohibited. Advertisers must have explicit permission to use any third-party brand identifiers.

If a trademark owner files a complaint with RevContent about the use of their trademark within a campaign, RevContent will investigate and may enforce certain restrictions on the use of that trademark in a campaign.

Websites or domains in violation may be suspended, meaning they cannot be advertised or monetized with RevContent until the problem is fixed. You will be notified of the suspension and the specific reason.

  • Account Termination:

Multiple or serious violations can result in permanent account termination. All ads in the terminated account will stop running, and you may be barred from future advertising with RevContent. Related accounts may also be terminated, and new accounts may be automatically suspended at setup.

If your ad is rejected, you’ll receive a specific reason in your dashboard, such as “Misleading & Deceptive Practices” or “Adult/Inappropriate,” so you can address the issue and resubmit. For a complete list of possible denial reasons, refer here.
